Spanish Brutalist Birthing Stool

A beautifully handcarved solid wood tripod stool with a richly textured surface and an aged patina that reflects its history. Traditionally used as birthing stools, particularly in Spain, designed for ease of transport by midwives to home births due to their lightweight nature.  Versatile in function, it can be styled as an accent piece, used as a plant stand, or a small side table.

The stool is in good vintage condition, with some signs of wear consistent with age, adding to its authenticity.
